No proposal to raise, reduce retirement age of government employees': Lok Sabha

New Delhi: There is no proposal to either raise or reduce the retirement age of central government employees from the present 60 years, Lok Sabha was informed Wednesday.
"No, madam," Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh said in his reply to a question on whether government proposes to increase the retirement age of central government employees.
His reply was the same to another part of the question on whether there is a proposal to fix the retirement age at 58 years. In the run up to the Delhi assembly polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on two occasions scoffed at suggestions that his government planned to reduce the retirement age.

Govt may implement Seventh Pay Commission report from April 2016

New Delhi: The Seventh Pay Commission drafted in to make a new pay structure for the 30 lakh Central government employees would not be able to submit its report in August this year, the Commission is likely to seek extension till October.

The reports of Seventh Pay Commission will be implicated from April next year as Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said in the Parliament on February 27, “The 7th Pay Commission impact may have to be absorbed in 2016-17.”

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said above statement in his pre-budget speech. His statement indicates that the government may implement Seventh Pay Commission report from April 2016.

The UPA government formed the Seventh Pay Commission on 28 February 2014 under chairman justice Ashok Kumar Mathur with a timeline of 18 months to make its recommendations. According to present position, the commission will take at least 20-24 months.

However, the Sixth Pay Commission had submitted its report within 18 months.

As a result of the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission, pay and allowances of the central government employees more than doubled as per Fourteenth Finance Commission estimates.

As such, the central government employees are expected to get 100 percent salary hike under the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission.

Issues like inflation, the government’s financial position and salary structure of government employees in other countries would also be considered as parts of pay panel recommendations.

The Fourteenth Finance Commission asked the pay panel to link the pay with productivity, which will be the biggest hurdle for central government employees to be got over to get salary hike.

It is interesting to note that the earlier governments never accepted to link the pay with productivity.

WHY WE DO NOT WANT OFFICIAL COMMITTEE???

TIME AND AGAIN WE HAVE BEEN CHEATED BY THE OFFICERS FROM TOP LEVEL TO BOTTOM LEVEL.  IT IS SINCE 1999 OUR URGE FOR PROTECTION OF TRCA IS NOT SOLVED COMPLETELY/RATIONALLY.
NO BODY IS HEARD OF DOWNWARD REVISION, REDUCTION OF PAY IN ANY DEPARTMENT OR SERVICE WHETHER PUBLIC OR PRIVATE, BUT SEEN IN CASE OF G.D.S.  PAY POCKET OF AN EMPLOYEE SHOULD BE PROTECTED, A GENERAL RULE, COURT RULINGS BUT NEVER HEEDED/APPRECIATED PROPERLY BY THE DEPARTMENTAL OFFICERS! SINCE THEY CAN NOT FEEL THE PINCH THEY BENT UPON RELYING UNSCIENTIFIC METHOD OF CALCULATION OF WORK HOURS.
COMPASSIONATE APPOINTMENT – STEP-MOTHERLY ATTITUDE TOWARDS G.D.S: Point system not scientific and genuine claims are disallowed.  For ex: A GDS died while performing his duty in the forest area, an elephant killed him!  His wife has no other source of income, no property and virtually on streets, BUT DENIED APPOINTMENT TO HER DAUGHTER.  Reason UNSCIENTIFIC POINT SYSTEM TO ASSESS INDIGENCY OF THE FAMILY!
NO TRANSFERS, LIMITED TRANSFERS!  Even if transfer is approved by the Circle head, the GDS should forego his service increments and accept PAY OF THE POST.  Most unscientific in deed!
BONUS: Despite several court orders at last the demand was accepted and denied due benefits for years………..perhaps SAVINGS!
PUT OFF DUTY, AN HANGING SWORD ON THE G.D.S!  An inspector/ASP/SP/SSP always have this weapon in hand.  For not attending meeting after working hours, POD is enforced.  For not completing the TARGET ON RPLI put off duty was ordered.  FOR NOT ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF TRANSFER TO SHIFT A LADY GDSMD on spot POD was enforced!
HARSH PUNISHMENTS:  Never this GDS is treated as human beings in case of enforcing discipline!  For a small fault, routine mistakes, financial irregularities CAPITAL SENTENCE LIKE REMOVAL/DISMISSAL is given!  For wrong delivery of letters/Money orders REMOVAL FROM SERVICE.  Now even after 14.01.2015 order introducing GRADED PUNISHMENT, MINOR AND MAJOR, G.D.S are undergoing severe punishments reckless of their service! The reason for increase in such activity is because of various lapses on the part of higher level officers.  NO PROPER AND PERIODICAL CHECKS/VIGILANCE! For legitimate Trade Union protests DISCIPLINARY ACTION IS PROPOSED ILLEGALLY! OUR LEADERS AT GROUND LEVEL ARE MADE TARGETS UNDER THE GUISE OF DISCIPLINARY ACTION!
SEXUAL HARASSMENT ON HUMBLE G.D.S AT WORK SPOT! IRREGULAR AND IMPROPER METHOD TO HEAR THEIR GRIEVANCES UNLIKE DEPARTMENTAL STAFF, A PARTISAN ATTITUDE!
STRIKE ASSURANCES NOT MET: Last Strike agreement not MET, GOING BACK ON THE ASSURANCE IS THE NATURAL LAW!
The list will not be complete as the sufferings/agony of GDS cannot be expressed in words, FOR THEY ARE THE MOST EXPLOITED CLASS, A BLACK SPOT IN THE HISTORY OF THE POSTAL NET WORK!
HENCE WE WANT JUSTICE, A JUSTICE CAN ONLY SEE AND UNDERSTAND THE MISERY OF THIS EXPLOITED LOT!  WE ARE THE SALT OF THIS EARTH/DEPARTMENT.
WE WANT JUSTICE, WE WANT JUSTICE, WE FIGHT WE FIGHT AND WE FIGHT TILL JUSTICE BY APPOINTMENT OF A JUSTICE TO LOOK INTO THE SERVICE CONDITIONS OF GDS IS APPOINTED.
WE SHALL RATHER DIE BUT NEVER WITHDRAW OUR STRIKE UNLESS HONOURABLE SETTLEMENT IS REACHED.

OUR APPEAL TO ONE AND ALL GRAMIN DAK SEVAKS TO JOIN THIS MASS MOVEMENT OF GDS FOR JUSTICE, JUSTICE, JUSTICE.

WE ALSO REQUEST OTHER UNIONS ALSO TO JOIN THE MAIN STREAM TO MAKE OUR AGITATION CENT PERCENT AND COMPLETE.

LONG LIVE WORKERS UNITY, WORKERS UNITY ZINDABAD
