All-India Consumer Price Index Numbers For
Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for April, 2014 has been announced by the Labour
Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment. The index now stands at 242, a
rise of 3 points over the last month. The last month saw an increase of one
point from the previous month.
With this, the figures are becoming more clear for the dearness allowance hike from July 2014. The hike will be approximately 7%, making the DA at 107% from July 2014. The figure may drop to 6% in-case there is nor changes in the index over next two months or there is a considerable dip, which is unlikely.
